Certified Pre-Purchase Inspection & Appraisal:
Buying a Collector Vehicle?:
A Certified Pre-Purchase Inspection and Value Appraisal protects you by having the vehicle inspected and appraised BEFORE you buy. We do a 120+ point visual and operational inspection (with road test) plus the body is checked for body filler and paint thickness recorded. We determine the fair market value before you pay out any cash. This will protect you from buying a vehicle where its description has not been represented accurately or fully disclosed at all. This will also protect you from overpaying for a vehicle. The report includes 75+ pictures and a report suitable for use in establishing insurance and/or loan value. It can also make a seller more reasonable in the asking price. We have saved many buyers from making major mistakes and also helped other buyers negotiate a fair deal on an overpriced vehicle.
Certified Pre-Accident Appraisal:
In the event of an accident, the other party's insurance company is going to try to settle the claim at the lowest possible amount. If you do not have a Certified Vehicle Value Appraisal, they will base the value on the “book” value which is much lower than your vehicle is really worth. Also in the event that you have not updated your vehicles value with your insurance company, the pay out will be based on the last agreed value which is often lower than the current value based on the market conditions and vehicle improvements. A Pre-Accident Valuation Appraisal can held you in your quest for a fair settlement. We determine the value of the vehicle BEFORE the accident.
TIP: Having a current Certified Vehicle Value Appraisal on file is always best and negates the potential for arguing about the vehicles value or cost to repair. It is harder to document and determine a vehicles condition after it is damaged. This can impact the value.
Certified Pre-Sales & Pre-Auction Appraisals:
Selling a Collector Vehicle? A Pre-Sales or Pre-Auction Appraisal can be a tremendous help when selling a collector vehicle. First, it eliminates a lot of haggling or “negotiating” because the vehicle's fair market value and condition has been established by a neutral professional party. For auctions, it can help you determine the “reserve” value. Secondly, a qualified buyer can use the appraisal to get a loan from his/her bank, or other lending institutions, to assist in buying your vehicle (many financial institutions will loan up to 80% of our appraised value).
TIP: We also will offer suggestions that can increase the value and/or salability of your vehicle.
Certified Collateral Appraisals:
The current fair market value of your collector vehicle helps to increase your “net worth” when seeking a loan or other financial activity.
Certified Donation/Gift Appraisals:
The IRS requires an appraisal for any gift to a charity or eligible museum, etc. Further, a qualified appraiser must complete and sign the appropriate IRS forms before you can take a tax deduction for your donation. We have helped museums and charities receive vehicle donations and helped the donors receive their proper tax deduction with the correct paperwork.
Certified Divorce Appraisals:
You do not want a court or an attorney to determine what your vehicle is worth.
Have a Certified Value Appraisal done now to determine the fair market value now and avoid problems later. This type of appraisal can be done during or prior to the divorce proceedings. If challenged in court, we are an expert witness. Every appraisal we have done has been upheld in court.
Certified Claim Settlement Appraisals:
If you are arguing with an insurance company over the value of your vehicle after a loss then our Certified Value Appraisal NOW can be a big help. It's not as easy to appraise a vehicle after an accident, fire, etc. but it can still be done. It is important to get this type of appraisal done as quickly as possible.
Certified Fraud Appraisals:
Did you buy a vehicle “sight unseen” or by viewing photos on the internet? Then when you received it, you believe that you have been cheated? A Certified Value Appraisal can help build your case. Was the vehicle advertised as having never been in an accident and you have discovered otherwise? Did you discover flood damage? Our appraisals can help you in your objective to recover your investment.
Certified Substandard Restoration Appraisals:
Did you pay for a prize winning restoration only to find out that the only prize you will win is the “booby prize”? Does the paint come off in the rain? Is the chrome peeling three months later? Our Certified Value Appraisal can help you with your claim.
